Ed Harris, SuperLawyer, defends a slimy, wife-killing reporter. The scum goes free. The cop who nabbed the scum vows revenge. And Harris quits because he's sick of defending lowlife. Then he falls in bed with Roxanne (The Verdict) Hart, who's dumping her husband. And a woman cop working as a prostitute is murdered. Then all these characters come together in a neat little box of plot. Too neat, and that's the problem. Harris, Hart and company are damned good but a Hardy Boys mystery is harder to crack.
