Picks and Pans Review: Light the Fireworks

There's been so much hype about National Cable Month that you'd think all of April had been declared a holiday: Close the schools, shut the factories, lock the family inside and let them watch cable TV. So what does pay cable show us? The Money Pit, repeated at least a dozen times daily. For relief, we get Turk 182, Brewster's Millions, Gotcha!, Quicksilver, Ladyhawke, Police Academy 3, Mischief and Trancers—an arsenal of duds. This is cable's best? Sure, they also show us one real hit: Back to the Future. But I already saw that. I'd rather celebrate National Pickle Month.
