The last major miniseries of the season will make you hope you never watch another. Lisa Hartman plays a coal miner's daughter and wife who hates mine-owner Bruce Dern. Before she tries to destroy him, she lives in a whorehouse with Betty Buckley, marries a paralyzed Richard Masur, has an affair with mean retail magnate Joe (Riptide) Penny and turns into a stock-market manipulator. As they go through the motions in this nonsensical froth gone flat, the cast and crew display all the enthusiasm and imagination of civil servants. One blah blob.
