After watching the series once more, I still say that Shelley Duvall's Tall Tales & Legends doesn't compare to her Faerie Tale Theatre. In her latest Tall Tale, Danny (Lethal Weapon) Glover stars as John Henry, that steel-drivin' man who goes mano-a-machine against a steam drill. John Henry's a straight-shooter, and that's how Glover plays him. Fine. But his co-stars, starting with Tom Hulce, play things too straight. These Tall Tales have none of the wit and thus none of the charm of the Faerie Tales.
