Merrill Markoe, former head writer of Late Night With David Letterman, and Harry (Saturday Night Live) Shearer have created a show that could fill the satiric shoes SNL used to fill but now only wallows around in. It's a magazine show with on-location reports: Markoe gets beauty tips from drag queens so she can "look like a man who looks like a woman." She reports on trends in food technology—like making relish that doesn't run. She has a chat with her dogs about following her around. She visits a celebrity closet-of-the-week. Besides a catchy Ollie North music video called It's a Shredding Party, the best segments are Markoe's. We're talking timely. We're talking funny. I hope they're talking about making this into a series.
