Nominate Fox for an Emmy for its Emmy Awards show—not because it was simple and straightforward and had good clips, but simply because it didn't have any production numbers. Sure, the show was way too long with waaaaay too many awards (TV's getting good, but not that good). Those behind-the-scenes segments were just too dorky (Phylicia Rashad was so gooshy she should have been dressed in a Twinkie wrapper). And yes, Lee (Nutcracker) Remick and Randy (LBJ) Quaid got robbed—but you can't blame Fox for that. The baby network did okay. Now we move on to what the big-boy networks are showing this week—including two new series that won't win any awards: Leg Work and Buck James.
