Pamela Sue (Dynasty) Martin and Tim (Fletch) Matheson play yups who move to a lovely New England island that happens to be headquarters to a witches' coven led by James B. (Hill Street Blues) Sikking, Inga (Benson) Swenson and, best of all, Barbara (Leave It to Beaver) Billingsley. All kinds of uh-oh things befall poor Pamela Sue, but I won't give them away; I don't want to ruin a single zowie scene. So just take my word for it: Watch these witches. Bay Coven doesn't try to be art, just entertainment. And it succeeds—in the well-plotted script, the doesn't-take-itself-too-seriously acting, the platinum production values. Every TV movie should be so wonderfully made—and so damned much fun.
