I admit I was tempted to cheat and watch the first few minutes of the latest Perry Mason movie—just until there's a murder—and then speed the tape forward to the end, when somebody would jump up in court and shout, "All right! I did it! I killed him!" But no, I was a good boy. I watched the whoooole thing. I saw Robert (Benson) Guillaume, the publisher of a sleazy tabloid, get bumped off. I kept watching as Raymond Burr went after the suspects, including Morgan Brittany, Rene (Hill Street Blues) Enriquez and Yaphet Kotto. Finally I saw Burr solve the mystery and win his case when somebody did jump up and shout, "All right! I did it! I killed him!" I shoulda cheated.
