If you were born after 1960, then I suppose this syndicated, four-hour miniseries will at least give basic history—a kind of video Cliff Notes about an amazing time in America. But don't expect to experience the passion, the drama and the dreams of the Kennedy era. No, watching Hoover vs. The Kennedys is like walking through a talking wax museum. The cast—Jack Warden as J. Edgar Hoover, Nicholas Campbell as Robert Kennedy and Robert (CHIPS) Pine as JFK—look almost lifelike. But they're not.
