The title sounds like the stuff of which snoozes are made, but the made-for-Austra-lian-TV series itself was magnificent. Its host, British journalist Jack Pizzey, turned our too-often-ignored neighbors to the south into places of drama, intrigue, beauty, evil and utter fascination. Every PBS documentary should be half as good.
