Benny Carter and Oscar Peterson

Fans of older-school jazz can turn to these venerable figures, the full-voiced saxophonist Carter, and Peterson, the pianist who has taken to heart the maxim that the devil finds work for idle hands. His kinetically melodic style and Carter's more measured approach blend nicely on Sweet Lorraine, If I Had You and five other tracks, with guitarist Joe Pass, bassist Dave Young and drummer Martin Drew in support.
