If mannequins could walk, talk, write and direct, they would put out a better movie than this. William Shatner and Susan Blakely star as perfect parents whose apparently perfect daughter (Erika Eleniak) turns out to be a leader of Live for Now, a gang of "middle-class white kids shooting at each other from BMWs." One gang member is gunned down at the prom, and Eleniak disappears, so Shatner searches for her, sinking into the ugly world of American adolescence. Broken Angel wants to be an alarmist tale about these kids today, but I've seen zits that are scarier.
