This tape for novices features top women's tour pro Jan Stephenson, and for no-frills instruction, for men and women, there probably isn't a better value on the market. In the 50-minute lesson, she covers the basics from buying clubs to getting out of trouble on the course. She explains things a lot better too. Instead of just stating that pros prefer sand shots around the green rather than chip shots, she explains why. (There's more room for error.) Stephenson's advice is sound. And, without being sexist, few would deny that she's a lot cuter than Craig Stadler. (Karl-Lorimar, $29.95)
