Picks and Pans Review: Esquire Dance Away—the '50s

UPDATED 06/13/1988 at 01:00 AM EDT Originally published 06/13/1988 at 01:00 AM EDT

Tie on your blue suede aerobic shoes and work up a slippery sweat with exuberant fitness expert Molly Fox to the tune of original '50s pop music favorites. Her workout starts to the whine of A Teenager in Love and cools down 30 minutes later with Frankie Avalon's Venus. Fox and her cutesy-poo backup group of five dancers prance on a rainbow-colored set in a lively, loud production. (Fox has to shout to be heard over the thumping music.) If you have been dancing secretly in front of your bedroom mirror and long for company, here are some folks to bounce and kick with. Also in the Dance A way series are musical tributes to the '60s, 70s and '80s. (Polaris-Congress, $17.95, 800-345-8112)
