Picks and Pans Review: French Braiding—fast & Easy

UPDATED 07/11/1988 at 01:00 AM EDT Originally published 07/11/1988 at 01:00 AM EDT

Fast? Maybe. Easy? Only for the nimble fingered. Flight attendant Maxine Garraway, moonlighting as a coiffeur adviser (she's a model in Color and You too), shows how to turn shoulder-length locks into a French braid, adding strands as you weave—the tail can be tucked under at the end. Her fleet 15-minute tape is at least a way to learn to braid without tearing your hair out. (Maxi Enterprises, $14.95; 800/345-1441)
