The show is a bit disorganized, draggy and long (it continues with a second part next week at the same time). But the music simply cannot be beat. The one wonderful thing about these biographical shows is they force us to pay attention and gain a new appreciation for an artist's work. This show does a great job of putting a bright, shining spotlight on the music of Duke Ellington. That alone makes it worth the watch.
