Picks and Pans Review: The Automobile in American Life

Another, fancier show on wheels is this fully equipped, super deluxe $6 million car-nucopia at the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Mich. Reconstructed scenes include a '20s filling station and a 1946 diner moved lock, stock and jukebox from Massachusetts. For historic cars, try a 1923 Stutz Bearcat, a '30 Bugatti Royale or the '61 Lincoln in which John Kennedy was assassinated. Honoring that venerable institution, the traffic jam, is a tie-up involving a 1915 Cadillac, a '49 Volkswagen Beetle and a '60 Corvair.
