A & E (Sat., Aug. 13, 9:30 p.m. ET)

Presenting...the thinking man's Don Johnson. In this British detective series, American actor David Andrews plays an American actor named Larry Summers who plays a Polish private eye named Pulaski (and yes, you'll be quizzed later). If you haven't checked out this clever, fast-paced show, do so now, with the season's penultimate episode. Each week Summers has to solve a real-life mystery while shooting his fictional TV series. This time around he gets framed by a cool blond who leaves a bagful of cocaine in his sports car. Hi ho, hi ho, it's off to work he goes to prove his innocence and redeem his tabloid-ish public image. Pass that popcorn, please.
