>YOUNG GUNS They could have called this Young Buns for all the fashion-ad posing, in and out of their britches, indulged in by the brat pack cast. Emilio Estevez is Billy the Kid and his gang includes brother Charlie Sheen, Kiefer Sutherland, Lou Diamond Phillips, Casey Siemaszko and Dermot Mulroney. The boys shoot, ride, flirt, get high on peyote and revel in enough self-adoring, anachronistic behavior to have all but inveterate teenyboppers swearing vengeance on the film's makers. Bring back the Western? Hell, this could kill it. (R)

THE BLOB Some say this remake is better than the charmingly tacky 1958 original with Steve McQueen as the teen-dream hero and a lump of Jell-O rolling over small-town America. But all we get is sullen Kevin Dillon subbing for Steve and a bigger, nastier lump that bloodies up its victims in stomach-churning close-ups. Your move. (R)
