Some of Hollywood's biggest boppers showed up at the Beverly Hills bash for rock sensation George Michael, marking his six sold-out shows in Southern California. Party people included, from left, Beatle-turned-film-producer George Harrison, singer Martika, a 19-year-old newcomer on the pop scene, and head-scratching rocker Tom Petty.

Also present were record producer Quincy Jones and Tatum O'Neal—minus hubby John McEnroe, who couldn't make it. Tatum's eager to resume her acting career.

Meanwhile, billionaire real estate moguls Leona and Harry Helmsley tried to escape the heat on a Hawaiian beach. They are awaiting trial in New York for tax evasion.

At the Michael party, Emily Lloyd, 118, showed the same staid British attitude she exhibited in Wish You Were Here. She co-stars with Peter Falk in Cookie, due in February.

Wayne Gretzky and wife Janet Jones enjoyed some hockey shtik at Chasen's in L.A., where his new team, the Kings, celebrated the start of the new season.

Best Foot Forward: After a bicycle mishap tore ligaments in his ankle, John F. Kennedy Jr. hobbled around Manhattan with girlfriend Christina Haag and an unidentified man.

His front line may be guilty of encroachment, but former football star O.J. Simpson doesn't mind. The gang huddled in Hawaii at the Kauai Lagoons Celebrity Sports Invitational.

At the Los Angeles premiere of Imagine: John Lennon, Corbin Bernsen of L.A. Law put a lock on his girlfriend, actress Amanda Pays, who's expecting their child in March.
