Picks and Pans Review: New This Week on Video

>TOP PICK: STORMY MONDAY Melanie Griffith has no difficulty joining this week's troubled woman sweepstakes. As an American waitressing in the seedy British burg of Newcastle, she creates a big stir that small town won't soon forget. Griffith is the mistress of Tommy Lee Jones, a cutthroat Yank businessman who wants to force Sting into selling his jazz club, where Griffith develops more than a passing interest in the hunky club janitor, played by newcomer Sean Bean. The film is short on sense but long on erotic atmosphere, which makes the sight of hot number Griffith working out her predicament something to see. (Paramount)
