For an adult, admitting you get a kick out of Weird Science is about as acceptable as knowing the first names of all six Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. At first this series, based on the 1985 movie of the same name, may seem like a bit of juvenile fluff about two teen nerds (Michael Manasseri, John Mallory Asher) who use their computer to create their own gorgeous genie (Vanessa Angel). However, the writing can be clever, as in the takeoff of The X-Files. Add that to Angel's sharp comedic timing, and you get a great grown-up guilty pleasure.
