Thomas Guiry (The Sandlot) stars in this touching drama as a boy who constructs a detailed Arthurian dream world at the same time he is undergoing treatment for a rare form of cancer. The important figures in his life—his father (Kevin Dunn), his mother (Jayne Brook) and his doctor (Christine Lahti)—all have alternate roles in his sword-and-sorceress quest.
The film is based on a short story written by a 13-year-old Pennsylvania boy, Christopher Millard, who died of cancer in 1972.
