This sweet seasonal fable features Richard Thomas as a workaholic entrepreneur who, along with his wife (Annette O'Toole) and daughter, moves in with an elderly widow (Maureen O'Hara) as her part-time live-in helper. Sizing up the situation, O'Hara, her health failing rapidly as Christmas approaches, sets herself one final goal: to reorder Thomas's priorities before he loses himself completely in his job. This is an old-fashioned family film, stuffy but full of wonder and sentimentality.
