Josie Bissett plays a college dropout from a privileged background who begins a terrifying descent into schizophrenia. What lends this fact-based TV film substance is the bitter division between her folks (James B. Sikking and Jill Eikenberry) over whether to institutionalize her or treat her at home. That's left behind when in a lurid plot contrivance, Bissett runs off to Tampa and becomes a stripper. Bissett brings a poignant vulnerability to her role, but of course, she has had ample preparation on Melrose Place. All the women on MP are in advanced states of dementia.
