Producer Aaron Spelling devotes the two-hour pilot of his new high school series, apparently conceived as a companion to Fox's Beverly Hills, 90210, to a Romeo-Juliet romance between Chloe (Keri Russell), who lives in a beachfront palace, and Zack (Tony Lucca), a prole from the San Fernando Valley. The show promises to be colorful, lustrous junk, an hour-long jellybean, but Russell and Lucca are bland. Chloe's friends (Charisma Carpenter and Christian Campbell) are cute and potentially more complex. Complex compared to Gumby and Pokey.
