Just call him Gramps: Massachusetts senator Ted Kennedy welcomed his first grandchild, 7 lb. 11 oz. Kiley Elizabeth, born Aug. 7 in New Haven. She is the daughter of Kennedy's son Edward Jr., 32, a law student at the University of Connecticut, and his wife, Katherine "Kiki," 35, an assistant medical professor in clinical psychiatry at Yale Medical School. The couple wed last October....

Married With Children's, Katey Sagal, 38, and her husband, drummer Jack White (age not available), welcomed their first child, Sarah Grace (7 lbs. 13 ozs.), on Aug. 7 in L.A....

Actress Virginia Madsen, 32, and Antonio Sabato Jr., 22, who played the hunky Jagger on ABC's General Hospital, also ushered in their first child, Jack Antonio (7 lbs. 2 ozs.), on Aug. 6 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, the same hospital where Sagal and Pfeiffer delivered.

Comedian Bill Cosby, 57, didn't exactly have to go to the bank on Aug. 5 to ante up the 20 cents a Manhattan federal civil-court jury ordered him to give Daily News photographer Dick Corkery, 50, for assault damages. The photographer sued for $3 million, claiming that when he began snapping photos of Cosby at a June 1992 event honoring Cosby's wife, Camille, the actor shoved him out of the room. The damage award was minuscule because the photographer was found 90 percent responsible for the incident....

In Hackensack, N.J., on Aug. 3, actor Danny Aiello's daughter-in-law Heide, 27, pleaded guilty to stealing more then $200,000 from his checking account over a two-year period. Heide, who is separated from the actor's son Jamie, 32, faces sentencing of up to 364 days in prison and may have to make full restitution....

Actor and boxer Mickey Rourke, 38, was arrested in L.A. on July 26 for spousal abuse. He is married to actress Carre Otis, 26, whom he met while filming the 1990 drama Wild Orchid. Rourke was released on $50,000 bail....

On Aug. 3 in Fort Pierce, Fla., actor Wesley Snipes, 32, pleaded no contest to an April 4 charge of reckless driving. Snipes, astride his motorcycle, led a Florida Highway Patrol trooper on a high-speed (120 mph) 30-mile turnpike chase. Snipes was sentenced to 80 hours of community service and $7,314.25 in fines and costs as well as six months' probation....

A Virginia circuit-court judge disarmed ex-Marine and Republican senatorial candidate Oliver North, 51, on Aug. 1, refusing to renew North's handgun permit. In his decision, Judge James Berry wrote that "this court is unable to ignore North's conviction for crimes involving moral turpitude." North says he will appeal the ruling.

Punk rocker Billy Idol, 38, was released in good condition from a Bur-bank, Calif., hospital on Aug. 6 after overnight treatment for a drug overdose. Idol's assistant discovered the singer collapsed in his Hollywood Hills home....

Former NBC anchorman and commentator John Chancellor, 67, who retired in July 1993, is undergoing chemotherapy for stomach cancer.
