Who ever thought that Doug Henning could seem a model of self-restraint? Compared to Siegfried and Roy, he seems like a piece of Shaker furniture. This 1-hour special is so full of glitz, glamor and self-congratulation, the only real magic would be to get these guys' egos to disappear. Taped during their stage act in Las Vegas, Siegfried and Roy run through the usual bag of tricks, from sawing a woman in half to making wild animals appear. In between, we're treated to a tour of the boys' Vegas estate and interviews where they talk about each other. Magic is tough to do on TV at best, but the self-important way everything in this special is presented takes all the mystery and fun away.
