Hello, Dalai: Meg Ryan and Cindy Crawford rubbed elbows (with a guest) at a dinner in L.A. honoring the Dalai Lama, Tibet's spiritual leader. Crawford's hubby, Richard Gere, and Sen. Dianne Feinstein cochaired the gala, which raised more than $250,000 for the American Himalayan Foundation.

Feisty basket case Dan Cortese, the MTV Sports veejay, showed the right stuff against L.A. Lakers center Made Divac during the MTV Rock N' Jock B-Ball Jam in L.A. The annual event benefits the Pediatric AIDS Foundation.
