Actors Liam Neeson and Natasha Richardson, who became romantically involved earlier this year while performing together in Anna Christie on Broadway, are now house-hunting together in Los Angeles. A source tells us the couple have looked at "a number of houses" but no final decision has yet been made.
So, now that they are talking about moving in together, are Neeson, 41, and Richardson, 30, considering making their relationship more permanent? Neither of their reps would address the question.
On the other end of the romance curve is singer-actress Pia Zadora, 37, who last month separated from her husband of 16 years, multimillionaire financier Meshulam Riklis, 68. According to a source, the wealthy couple's impending divorce "could get complicated." The couple have three substantial residences in L.A.: two homes in Beverly Hills, including the recently refurbished Pickfair estate, and a beach house in Malibu.
Despite all the property and possessions at stake, however, Zadora herself insists that her split with Riklis will not get ugly. "He will always be the most important person in my life," she says. The couple have two children, Kady, 8, and Kristofer, 6.
HE'LL ALWAYS HAVE PARIS
Meat Loaf got burned in Paris last week. Having just finished a concert, he was waiting in Charles De Gaulle Airport to board a plane to London when someone tapped him on the shoulder. When the rocker turned around, another man walked off with the 45-year-old singer's bag. By the time Meat Loaf realized what had happened, the first man was gone, without so much as an au revoir.
So what did the crooks get? According to Meat Loaf, his bag contained, among other things, audiotapes of his last five performances, credit cards, a portable CD player, a stack of 8-by-10 Meat Loaf glossies, a Bible with his personal notations and a manicure set. Maybe the thieves will open a Meat Loaf boutique.
A QUICK SWITCH
A new Becky has quietly appeared on ABC's Roseanne this season: 17-year-old Sarah Chalke. Little has been written about the Vancouver, B.C., high school senior because Chalke's parents prefer a low profile for their daughter. An ABC publicist tells us that Sarah's mom, Angie Chalke, has avoided publicity because the family has been "overwhelmed" by production schedules and the commute between Vancouver and L.A.
And what happened to Leey Goranson, 19, who had played Becky since the show began in 1988? She left last season to attend Vassar. She has since dropped out and moved back to L.A.
