Some readers will remember Burke's Law, the '60s series that starred Gene Barry as a dapper Don Juan of homicide who was driven to Los Angeles crime scenes in his chauffeured Rolls-Royce. CBS has revived the show (Fridays, 9 p.m. ET)—although Barry now wisely leaves the rigors of romance to his TV son, Peter Barton. The retread series did some inspired casting for this week's episode (Jan. 21), gathering a passel of pluperfect TV detectives as guest stars: Buddy Ebsen (Barnaby Jones), Martin Kove (Cagney & Lacey), Jameson Parker (Simon & Simon), Tanya Roberts (Charlie's Angels)—and my favorites: Anne Francis (Honey West) and Edd Byrnes (77 Sunset Strip). Just one question: Where was Robert Loggia (T.H.E. Cat)?
