Slime is on his side—and everywhere else on actor James Earl Jones, who was showered with goo during the opening segment of the seventh Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards, which he appeared at recently. Some 1,500 8-to 12-year-old kids had voted for their favorite artists.

It took two Prime Time Live cohorts (Diane Sawyer and Sam Donaldson) to tango at the recent Friars Club dinner honoring Barbara Walters in New York City. Sharon Stone and Candice Bergen also attended. Said Sawyer of ABC colleague Walters: "She's absolutely the best journalist."

Feel accompli: Pierce Brosnan, flanked by Revlon models Lauren Million (left) and Veronica Webb, entered and finished the 1st Annual Revlon Run/ Walk to benefit cancer research. The trio joined other celebrities in the five-kilometer walk and helped raise over $300,000.

"We still don't have a date, but we plan to marry very soon," said David Copperfield with fiancée Claudia Scbiffer (above) al the recent World Music Awards in Monte Carlo. Added the magician about the swarm of photographers: "I still don't know how to make the paparazzi disappear." Meanwhile, although posters heralding the appearance of Prince (left) at the event carried his symbolic name upside down, the singer was honored. He received a special award for his contributions to pop music.
