In this overheated, preposterous movie, Stacy Keach plays a veteran long-haul trucker who prowls the highway, obsessively searching for the maniac who intentionally ran over his son (Knots Landing's, Thomas Brown) on the road to Vegas. See, there's a whole new breed of trucker out there, drug-twisted young yahoos who aim their rigs right at drivers of subcompacts and other defenseless people. Keach storms through the entire movie in his familiar wounded-rhino mode.

This drama was inspired by actual events, but any link to reality fades when you see who plays the villain. Then there's the dialogue. One motorist fumes about truckers: "What's happened to these guys? They used to he our friends."
