And Now, D.C. 20500

OUR CONCEPT FOR A NEW SITCOM IS SIMPLE: A GREAT JOB OPPORTUNITY leads a two-career couple to move with their daughter from a low-key Southern capital to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. The principals are a snap to cast. The comic relief is endless: two-faced politicos, palm-greasing lobbyists, cynical newsmen, baggy running shorts, sax solos, maybe even Elvis. What to call it? fortysomething—or High Hope. Is there a fast-food chain that won't want to sponsor? Reviewers will surely deem it Hillary-ous. Best of all, it'll run at least four years.
