Cindy Williams (Laverne & Shirley) and Telma Hopkins (Family Matters) play coworkers and single moms sharing a house in the Chicago suburbs. Williams is a ditsy divorcée with two girls: a surly teen and a cute little cherub. Hopkins is a tough widow with two adolescent sons: one wholesome and industrious, the other rebellious and street-savvy.

Williams and Hopkins have pretty good chemistry together. But the precocious kiddie corps makes this show as soggy and sweet as a bowl of sugar-coated cereal that has been sitting in milk (or a while. Of course, by the time Friday night rolls around, that may be a dish about as challenging as your palate can handle.
