Veronica Hamel plays a woman who wakes up in the middle of the Nevada desert in a party dress, unable to remember anything, even her name.
The security chief at a hotel-casino in Reno (Dennis Farina) takes the lovely amnesiac under his wing while he tries to find out her identity. Turns out she's a topflight trial attorney in California married to a developer (Stephen Collins). She's also implicated in the murder of her firm's senior partner. Preposterous as it sounds, in the unfolding, this well-acted and suspenseful film combines elements of mystery with a nicely handled romance between Hamel and Farina.
