Early children's TV star Pinky Lee, 85, died of a heart attack on April 3 in Mission Viejo, Calif. Born Pincus Leff, he began his career in vaudeville and then starred on NBC's The Pinky Lee Show from 1954 to '56. He opened the program by singing, "Yoo hoo, it's me. My name is Pinky Lee." Lee spent his later career doing occasional TV work and stage appearances....

Scrabble inventor Alfred Mosher Butts, 93, an architect who developed the word game Criss Cross in 1931, which was later redesigned and renamed Scrabble in 1948, died April 4 of natural causes in Rhinebeck, N.Y....

Stock-car racing champ Alan Kulwicki, 38, died April 1 when a private plane carrying him and three others crashed at Tricity Airport near Bristol, Tenn. Kulwicki was last year's winner of the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing (NASCAR) title.

Hart to Hart's Stefanie Powers, 50, married French biologist Patrick de la Chcsnais, 42, at sunset on April 1 in Kenya.

Pope John Paul II has ruled that the three children of Princess Caroline of Monaco, 36, and the late Stefano Casiraghi are legitimate in the Vatican's eyes. A ruling was necessary because Casiraghi and Caroline married outside the Church after Caroline divorced first husband Philippe Junot. The Pope's okay allows sons Andrea, 8, and Pierre, 5, but not daughter Charlotte, 6, to be considered possible successors to Monaco's throne.

No word yet on a wedding, but those two crazy kids Donald Trump, 46, and Maria Maples, 28, expect their first child in October. The Donald already has three children, sons Donny, 14, and Eric, 9, and daughter Ivanka, 11, from his marriage to Ivana. Maples, now on Broadway in The Will Rogers Follies, is expected to leave the show in a few months....

Recovering brat packer Rob Lowe, 29, will soon add fatherhood to his list of redeeming qualities. He and wife Sheryl Berkoff, 31, a makeup artist, are expecting their first child in September....

Rapper and designer pantie pinup boy Marky Mark, 21, has settled out of court with a Boston man, Robert Crehan, 20, who filed assault charges against him last summer. Crehan claimed his jaw was broken by Mark during a scuffle in the Dorchester section of Boston. Mark's lawyer says the rapper kept his hands to himself. Financial terms were not released.

Country singer Lorrie Morgan, 33, won't be leaving the light on for her third husband, Brad Thompson, 32, an ex-bus driver for singer Clint Black. Morgan filed for divorce last month in Davidson County, Tenn., after 17 months of marriage.

According to British newspapers, Stephen Wynian, 30, son of former Rolling Stones bassist Bill Wynian, 56, has become engaged to Patsy Smith, 46, the mother of Bill's ex-wife Mandy Smith, 22. No wedding date yet. This would make Bill Mandy's step-grandfather.
