Picks and Pans Review: The Grand Tour

Aaron Neville

Not only could Neville sing the Congressional Record and make it sound celestial, he might enjoy doing it. from the mix of tunes on this album—Stylistics soul, Chuck Berry rock and roll, George Jones country, "The Lord's Prayer"—it's clear that Aaron Neville, 51, third of the four illustrious New Orleans Neville Brothers, will sing just about anything. What holds together this pleasant variety pack (not quite as emotionally rich as 199l's Warm Your Heart) is one of the purest voices in pop, so creamy the Daily Association should find a way to bottle it.
