The title oversells things a bit. Jones sings only nine numbers in this one-hour show, giving over 13 minutes to Ram Tillis and Tracy Lawrence. (Curious patter: Having praised his younger costars, Jones launches into "Who's Gonna Fill Their Shoes," a tribute to irreplaceable country giants.) Still, old George, 61 sings "He Stopped living Her Today," a ballad so perfectly tear-shaped that you want to rush to Nashville and burn offerings of thanks at the altar of the Opry.

(David Hiltbrand is on vacation.)
