Picks and Pans Review: ...and Then She Was Gone
NBC (Sun., Sept. 29, 9 P.M. ET)
What a week. You can also see Robert Urich twice, if you're so inclined, in two network thrillers. In this involving movie directed by David (Rich Man, Poor Man) Greene, Urich plays a businessman who is drawn into helping a waitress (Megan Gallagher) search for her kidnapped young daughter. (Urich also stars with Markie Post on Friday in Stranger at My Door, a CBS suspense film that was not available for review.)
Dakin Matthews, Alan Rosenberg and Brett Cullen costar in an incisively plotted, nicely acted and unusually plausible enterprise. The only problem is that the movie contains, as Urich's computer executive character might say, some downtime.
