>A SONG IN THEIR HEARTS

TWO FEMALE ENTERTAINERS OF ENDURING popularity are profiled this week. In Loretta Lynn: The Seasons of My Life, the coal miner's daughter tells her own story through reminiscences and photographs, from Butcher Holler, Ky., to the Grand Ole Opry. In this music-filled hour on the Nashville Network (Wed., Nov. 13, 8 P.M. ET), Lynn is joined by Randy Travis, Patty Loveless, Tanya Tucker and, of course, Lynn's old duet partner, Conway Twitty, for much happy harmonizing. On Friday (Nov. 15, 9 P.M. ET) PBS presents Doris Day: A Sentimental Journey. It's a wonderful scrap-book of Day's singing and acting careers and includes interviews with John Updike, Rosemary Clooney, Kirstie Alley and other friends and admirers. Four marriages and a period of impending bankruptcy made her personal life stormy, but nothing dimmed the quality of radiant sweetness Day brought to the screen.
