Yo! Haute couture? Sylvester Stallone put it all together...almost. He has the eye-of-the-tiger part down, but he forgot to wear a tie. His model squeeze, Jennifer Flavin, was on the fringe of being fashionable when they attended an AIDS benefit in L.A. last February.
Talk Show Hosts Who Dress Tastefully (Hey, there's a provocative theme): Oprah Winfrey and steady man Stedman Graham did just that when they went to the Day-time Emmy Awards (soap oprahs, so to speak) in New York City last June.
They've come a long way from the rural South of Paradise: Don Johnson, looking very new-bow riche, escorted wife Melanie Griffith, daringly décolleté, to a charity dinner in Los Angeles. The clothes outshone the stars. But was it Don's tight-lipped expression that curled Melanie's hair?
Richard Gere got all dressed up to go to the Oscars. Richard wore a classic tuxedo with black bow tie and white shirt. Richard probably wore black socks, too, and real nice shoes. It's a shame that no one seems to notice when a guy goes out of his way to dress nice. Oh, Gere's girlfriend, model Cindy Crawford, went to the Oscars too.
Pediatric fashion victims: Edward Furlong, who helped Auh-nuld terminate robots last summer, looked menacingly cool for a 14-year-old as he and Soleil (Punky Brewster) Moon Frye, 15, attended the L.A. premiere of Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey, a story about how two adolescents wearing flannel shirts win a game of Twister against Death.
