The networks really, really want you to watch their shows. So much so that they'll pay you for your time. When Rick Dees started offering cash giveaways on Into the Night, I just figured this guy needed all the help he could get. Then came NBC's "McMillions" campaign, the slogan of which is "Tune in and cash in." If bribery reverses the tide of viewers away from network TV, maybe we could apply the same principle to other pressing national problems. How about a bounty on phone solicitors?
