The network has a number of contingency movies this week in the event that either of the baseball league championship series wraps up early. This one, in which Richard Crenna reprises his role as New York Detective Lt. Janck from Double take and Internal Affairs, should make it on the air. It's the replacement for game No. 7 of the American League Championship. I figure by Sunday, the Oakland A's should be home practicing their World Series home-run trots.
Crenna and Cliff Gorman are teamed up once again, investigating a parking garage shootout. The movie is firmly plotted and well acted. Unfortunately it suffers from premature resolution, winnowing too quickly through its complicated plot.
By the way, doesn't that title sound like the top of the A's batting order?
