I love Barbara Eden. I love John Forsythe. Am I still allowed to hate this supposed romantic comedy?

She's a town supervisor of a chic California beach community. He is a cowboy movie star. They are opposing each other for mayor. (Clint, call your lawyer.) The movie tries to scare up a few laughs; a couple of sharp political messages are thrown in. (Such as: Actors should never hold elected office. Ron, call your lawyer.)

Worst of all, as a duo, Eden-Forsythe have zippo chemistry.
