"Times are tough; this man is tougher." So goes the tag line for this hip half-hour action series. It's the year 2020 and society is a terrible mess. Crime is rampant.

In steps Ken Olandt, who looks like a grown-up Adam (Eight Is Enough) Rich with Rick Springfield's hair. Olandt is a frustrated cop and former astronaut who slips into a high-tech armored suit and helmet to act as a vigilante. If you're thinking RoboCop for TV, you're right on target. Lisa Niemi (Patrick Swayze's wife) is Olandt's police superior. When he's moonlighting as Super Force, Patrick Macnee, in a rather anonymous role, is the voice and blurry computer image of his patron. G. Gordon Liddy is the recurring villain.

The plots and dialogue are fairly hokey, but lots of slo-mo, explosions and decent futuristic trappings make this pretty cool trash.
