Remember the old joke: One out of every four humans is Chinese; which one of the Lemmon sisters do you think it is? This dull drama is built on a similar statistic.
Stefanie Powers, Katherine Helmond and Crystal Bernard meet in the office of hotshot divorce attorney Josef Sommer. He announces at the beginning that one out of three clients who come to him will eventually reconcile with his or her mate. So we have to sit around for two hours figuring out which one it will be, a wait that would be more bearable if we came to care at all about any of these characters.
Power does wield a surprisingly convincing Bronx accent, and Bernard sings a lullaby so prettily that someone should take her into a recording studio. At least it would get her out of this mess.
