The god who rules over guest stars seemed to be in a puckish mood recently. On the same Saturday evening, I saw rock singer Gregg Allman play a demon on Superboy and Cesar Romero turn up as Sophia's lover on The Golden Girls. When I punched the channel changer, there were MTV's five original VJs (J.J. Jackson, Mark Goodman, Nina Blackwood, Alan Hunter and Martha Quinn) rattling their chains. Ah well, nostalgia isn't what it used to be.
