Ed Asner is a Boston police superintendent assigned to root out corruption on the force. He finds a nasty nest of it in Ray Sharkey, Steve Railsback and James Keach, a trio that is about to pull off the biggest bank heist ever—$25 million. This skittish movie is supposed to be based on actual events in 1980, but no one ever behaved the way Sharkey does here without a crew and cameraman around. He gives another nuttily over-amped performance, with Railsback right on his hot little heels.
