This children's miniseries is the fourth and final adaptation from C.S. Lewis's cherished book cycle, The Chronicles of Narnia.
Young Eustace (David Thwaites) returns to the magical world of Narnia with a new school chum (Camilla Powers). There the lion Asian charges them with finding the lost Prince Rilian (Richard Henders).
This is at least as good as its three predecessors, despite the fact that the conclusion, airing at 8 P.M. on Christmas night, gets pretty grim. The costuming and special effects are somewhat short of dazzling. But then, children's imaginations don't require the elaborate props that their jaded elders do. And the story itself has lost none of its enchantment.
